Research Interests:

I am interested in integrating physiological, genetic and genomic approaches to understand plant fitness to their environment. Using sorghum as a platform, I study the distribution of deleterious mutations in sorghum genome and estimating the mutation burden in diverse sorghum lines. Further, I am studying how incorporating deleterious variants in genome-wide prediction models improves the prediction accuracy of phenotypes
