Graduate Student

Research Interests:

My undergraduate work at Haverford College sparked my broad academic interest in genetics, adaptation, and ecology. After graduating in 2017, I researched wild plant ecology and evolution as a Fulbright grantee to the Czech Republic and as a lab technician at Harvard University. In the Buckler Lab, I will apply my knowledge of wild plant systems to better understand the genetics, ecology, and evolution of maize and its wild relatives using computational approaches. I hope my work will generate insights beyond maize into other crop systems and will ultimately help reduce agriculture’s environmental impact.
